Ten stars. I love this place. Their menu is endlessly charming and written in painted wood. Coconut is a prominent feature on the menu. Their pourover is tremendously good. Definitely on the darker end of roasts. The dude inside is super nice. Just an actual hole in the wall with stinking good coffee. Will be back. Also a note that they don't have equipment for steaming milk (just pourover, cold brew and espresso), but come and give them a try!!

Was visiting SF again and lucked out that I was in the neighborhood and was looking for a spot to get a coffee. Such a cool little spot that I am glad that I went to. Chill and friendly service and helpful suggestions on where to explore on my walk.

Really cool spot with a unique setup. A small hole of a store, but with quite a few chairs set up on the block for you to enjoy your coffee at. Barista was super friendly! They can't make true milk based espresso drinks, so my "cortado" was just an espresso shot with a dash of water. Not typically what I get/want, but their base espresso is really great so it made it worth. Slightly fruity, deep in flavor, and overall enjoyable. Will be back to try their pour-overs! Seems like that's what they more specialize in.

Tiny little wooden coffee bar situated right off the sidewalk. The barista was waiting outside for my arrival and kindly greeted me. I got just a cold brew but I was curious about the coconut addition... They make their cold brew using a concentrate and add water. It was good but not sure how I feel about the concentrate. It's on my way to work so I'll likely try again (and maybe this time get the coconut cold brew)

Loved my time stopping by Hole in the Wall coffee for a quick afternoon pick me up. There were a handful of pour over choices and I decided to grab The North Beach based on the Yelp reviews I had been reading. It was a very strong and robust cup of coffee, exactly the way I like it! Barista was friendly and had great recommendations as we were visiting SF when we went. As others have noted this was probably one of the best pour overs I have had in a long while.

Like everyone's said, literally a hole in the wall spot. One of my fave spots for coffee in the area. Best part is the coconut cold brew and the great stories from the barista. If you're in the area, definitely stop by

The name is what it is! Hole In The Wall Coffee is indeed a hole in a wall in which the counter is set up! But, do not let the name fool you. This place offers good coffee to all coffee lovers, who love good basic coffee. They have their own beans, about four or five of them. My favorite is the North Beach. Over the years Hole In The Wall Coffee has become a gathering place for the locals in the morning, especially over the weekends. If you are visiting, you can always get good info about the neighborhood from the locals. The baristas, no matter which one may be serving, are always helpful if you are not sure which bean you should pick for your coffee. If you are visiting, swing by once and experience this unique North Beach experience. You will leave with a good cup of coffee in your hand and a smile on your face!

My favorite cold brew place to hike up to in the city. I can't remember how I came across this gem of a hole-in-the-wall, but I've been coming up here every free weekend with good weather since I can remember for their famous Coco Cold Brew. The story behind the Coco Cold Brew is funny and clever, and I love the type of coconut they source for it! This refreshing cold brew needs to be more of a regular weekend ritual for me, it truly both wakes me up as most pourovers and coffee drinks do for me, but the fresh coconut juice rehydrates me, so I don't feel dry mouth or headaches after ingesting that much caffeine. Only thing I wished this place had was a bathroom after both of those drinks together, but that aside, the baristas who work here are super nice and fun to talk with and the drinks here are always consistent!
